OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the training, the participants will be able to:

1. Explain disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change concepts, including complementarity between climate change adaptation (CCA) and DRR, and linkages with resilience and sustainable development.

2. Understand various vulnerability and risk assessment tools and their applications.

3. Utilize concepts and tools of DRR and CCA in real-world applications and local development contexts.

4. Describe processes and requirements in mainstreaming CCA and DRR in local development and sectoral planning.
